Melanie Hunnicutt, Assistant Director of Learning and Workforce Development at Mazzoni Center, has 10 years of experience as an educator and nonprofit leader. Melanie has an MPH in Social, Behavioral, and Community Health from Indiana University with a focus on LGBTQ+ community health, and a BA in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia. Melanie’s experience is concentrated in public health, workforce and leadership development, comprehensive sexuality education, LGBTQIA+ health, and intimate partner violence prevention. At Mazzoni Center, Melanie leads a team of talented educators who specialize in queer- and trans-affirming programming for youth and adults in Philadelphia and beyond.

Melanie is originally from New Jersey and has lived, studied, and/or worked in Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and western PA. When she’s not working, you can find her gardening, playing with her dog, or searching for the best pastries in Philadelphia.
