Eric Paulukonis
Eric Paulukonis has been with Mazzoni Center since January 2007 where, as recruiter, he helped our medical team become the highest enrolling site globally for the HPV vaccine research study which targeted men who have sex with men. Most recently he’s been manager of the Get Real Project, a National Institute on Drug Abuse-funded program that uses social media and peer outreach to educate young gay and bisexual men about sexual health and substance abuse, connecting them to supportive resources in Philadelphia.
As Prevention Services Director, Eric oversees a department that reaches more than 30,000 individuals per year through HIV and STD screening, one-on-one counseling, group interventions, community interventions, workshops and community building programs. A native of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, Eric received his undergraduate degree at West Chester University. While living in New York City he found his passion for LGBT advocacy and LGBT health and wellness awareness.
