Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are more common than you know. In the U.S. alone, there are 15 million new cases each year. To stop the spread of STDs, it is important that those who may have been exposed are informed of their risk and can seek appropriate screening and treatment.

If you have been diagnosed with an STD, there is a free online service where you can notify your sex partners by sending an anonymous or confidential e-card.

It is always recommended that you talk to your sex partners directly to inform them that they may have been exposed - that's how you would want to be told, isn't it? However, we know that is not always possible. Online notification is one way to notify partners, not the only way!

inSPOT gives you the ability to inform those partners who you are uncomfortable talking to directly or who you hooked up with online and only have their email address.

Talking to your sex partners, even virtually, helps take away the stigma associated with STDs and is a proven way to reduce further transmission of STDs.
