Creative Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a useful approach for various reasons, especially for expressing difficult or complex feelings. Art therapy utilizes traditional therapeutic techniques, coupled with various aspects of the creative process.
Regardless of your artistic skill level, you can increase your self-awareness through both verbal and non-verbal means. This group focuses on a variety of issues pertinent to the LGBTQ communities, and topics can range from grief/loss, self-image, sexuality, gender identity and family dynamics.
This group runs for a 10 week cycle and is designed and facilitated by John Lutz, Board Certified Art Therapist. There is a fee for this group.
Those participating in the Art Therapy Group must pre-register and complete a brief intake. If interested, please contact Cherie Older, Open Door Intake Coordinator, 215-563-0652 x274.
